Language

Assessment and intervention for a variety of presentations impacting receptive language (understanding of language) and expressive language (production of language), including: “late talkers”, developmental language disorder, and difficulties and delays impacting syntax, sentence structure, and vocabulary.

Speech

Assessment and intervention for a range of delays and disorders impacting speech sounds and intelligibility, including: articulation errors and/or disorders, phonological delay, and phonological disorders.

Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC)

Introduction and implementation of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) strategies for children who are unable to use verbal speech to meet some or all of their communication needs, including children who are minimally-speaking or non-speaking. Strategies are individualised to best support each child’s needs, and may include: Key Word Sign, aided language displays, and comprehensive communication systems like PODD and speech-generating devices (e.g. ProloQuo2Go and LAMP Words for Life)

Literacy

Assessment and intervention to support children to develop skills in reading and writing skills, including phonological awareness, sound and letter knowledge, phonics and decoding skills, and reading comprehension.

Social Communication

Support for children that may be experiencing challenges in social communication by building upon their existing strengths and developing new skills in areas including perspective-taking, non-verbal communication, and self-advocacy in order to develop further skills in communicating for social connection.

Communication Partner Training

Education, training, and support for the communication partners of children with communication differences (including parents, caregivers, and educators) to provide strategies and supports that promotes autonomous communication.
